Since Atlanta is land locked – and if you refuse to consider the murky Chattahoochee River or the man-made travesty that is Lake Lanier – your best bet to catch a cool breeze is poolside at one of the city's luxury hotels. Unfortunately, like everything else associated with the W brand, you’ll have to pay the cost ($15 parking) for a few laps in this watery wonderland. And if you’re looking for weekend R&R, be forewarned, there’s a DJ and a guaranteed party, so if you want to finish 50 Shades of Grey in peace maybe you should travel elsewhere.The Meliá Atlanta Hotel590 West Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30308 (404) 877-9000Located in the heart of midtown, the Meliá is close second place for the best view of the city following the W. This hotel has a decidedly chic atmosphere and is known as a popular place that hosts plenty parties on the weekend (whose invite lists don't usually include hotel guests). Unless you fancy yourself a party crasher, your best bet for some quiet time at this spot is during the week.   The Georgian Terrace659 Peachtree Street, NE, Atlanta, GA 30308 (404) 897-1991If you’re looking to preserve your sexy by doing some serious laps, then the Georgian Terrace has the right size pool for you. Located across the street from the Fox Theater, this historical beauty is full of opulence on the interior, poolside, however, is very basic. Plan to get a tan, there aren’t any umbrellas in the vicinity.
